A Prefeitura de Rondonópolis informou que a Autarquia do Transporte Coletivo (AMTC) já está em funcionamento e que a partir do dia 1° de julho (sexta-feira) todos os 50 ônibus novos estarão nas ruas realizando o transporte de passageiros.
Durante esse momento de transição, estimado em cerca de 3 meses, a mão de obra ficará por conta da empresa Cidade de Pedra e a gestão por conta da Autarquia.
O presidente da AMTC Ivanilson de Oliveira Aguiar Júnior, informou que a empresa já está em funcionamento internamente/administrativamente de forma compartilhada com a Empresa Cidade de Pedra e a gestão vai se dar durante um período de transição estimado em seis meses, mas acredita que em 90 dias, já possa assumir o controle total da mesma.
A frota que estará em circulação a partir de sexta-feira (01/07), será a adquirida pela Prefeitura, ou seja, os veículos novos, que são dotados de ar-condicionado e bastante conforto aos usuários.
Inicialmente a AMTC vai aproveitar a mão de obra da Cidade de Pedra, até os trâmites jurídicos e legais da composição da estrutura da autarquia seja toda formatada e passe a adotar os mecanismos legais de contratação e funcionamento técnico administrativo gerencial.
Vale dizer que os valores das passagens seguem os mesmos e os cartões da empresa Cidade de Pedra, seguem valendo normalmente até que a Autarquia assuma de vez a gestão do transporte coletivo local.
Com a preocupação de garantir qualidade de vida a população local e oferecer um transporte coletivo urbano público de qualidade, a Prefeitura, após o fim do contrato com a empresa Cidade de Pedra e cinco pregões de licitações públicas todas desertas, resolveu assumir para si a responsabilidade de oferecer este serviço essencial a população e criar a autarquia para instituir o transporte coletivo urbano na cidade.
